Jobs On An Oil Rig
Jobs On An Oil Rig Are Hard To Find
After spending all of my money on an overseas trip, my first few months back home where spent looking for jobs on an oil rig. I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find any useful information about entry level jobs. If you don’t know what you are looking for you are going to have the same problem that I had.
Although I was desperate for cash, it wasn’t just the high paying wages that attracted me. I didn’t want to go waste four years getting a degree and I liked the idea of having six months of holidays every year.
I soon found out that I wasn’t the only one chasing one of these high paying jobs. The funny thing was, everyone seemed to talk about them but nobody knew where to find them! I knew nothing about the industry so I started to think there was no chance I was going to work out where to find jobs on an oil rig. It was like searching for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
No matter what I searched for, all I found was oil and gas industry recruitment agencies and job search sites. The job search sites only had management positions posted and for some reason I just didn’t trust the recruitment agencies. Some of them were charging hundreds of dollars to submit a resume with no guarantee of getting a job, it just didn’t seem right to me.
My bank balance was at zero so I wasn’t willing to take the risk. Not to mention the fact that I didn’t like the idea of handing over my resume and sitting at home hoping that someone would actually get back to me.
It was lucky that I didn’t really have any other good options because otherwise I would have just given up. Luckily I was persistent because I finally got a lucky break and managed to get an interview.
Jobs On An Oil Rig Can Be Found!
I got a job with a good drilling company and the effort that I went through was certainly worth it. At the time I didn’t really put much thought into what the difference was between what I was doing wrong earlier and what I had done to get the job. But after speaking to hundreds of people who have told me that they attempted to get a job in the industry but couldn’t find any entry level jobs, I started to wonder why these jobs were so hard to come by.
I listened to the stories about how my co-workers got into the industry and thought that I would find the answer there but it didn’t really help. It was much later when I went on the internet and did some more searching for entry level jobs on an oil rig that I finally worked out what stops people from being able to find these jobs that require no experience.
The good news is, the answer to your problem is actually very simple. The sad part is that it took me so long to figure it out. It’s one of those things that if someone tells you, straight away you think “of course, why didn’t I think of that”. If you haven’t worked it out there is no need to feel bad because I spent a long time thinking about it before I realised what was happening.
Where To Go From Here
Even though it is an incredibly simple reason that stops people from finding entry level jobs, it is enough to make 99% of people give up their search because it is just too frustrating.
Until you understand what is stopping you, you are going to have great difficulty finding the jobs that you are looking for. Had I known this a few years ago it would have saved me hours of searching and months of frustration. Not only will this help you out it is likely to be the one thing that stops you from giving up altogether.
When I thought about how valuable this information is to anyone looking for jobs on an oil rig my first thought was that I could make a lot of money by selling the answer. The only problem is that the answer is so simple that I just wouldn’t feel right making people pay for it, so I decided to give the answer away for free!
