After many fruitless searches of EXACTLY what you mentioned in your video feed, i decided to sit down and listen to the whole thing, and within a few minutes have a much more clear and logical view of these 2 (mining / oil) industries and an understanding of WHY, OH WHY I couldn’t even get a look in. yeah, I am desperate for cash and unskilled and I will be using all your tips to get thru the Search Page Optimisation rubbish to actual job application opportunities! Well done, best wishes and MANY MANY THANKS for taking the time to explain to the ignorant out here why so many unskilled applicants hit brick walls and give up (..’get disheartened’ a better term..).

Thanks again, Mel fritz.

Jobs In The Mines

The Problem With Finding Jobs In The Mines

If you have been having no luck finding entry level jobs in the mines then you are definitely not alone. A few years ago I began my search for jobs in the mines and I quickly became frustrated by the fact that it was impossible to find any entry level jobs.

Every time I did an internet search the results would say something like “unskilled mining jobs” or “mining employment no experience needed” but when I clicked on the link I found nothing that was related to entry level positions. Sometimes the site would even bring up things like office jobs and sales jobs which was not even close to what I wanted.

No matter what I searched for, my results would continually bring up the same things, general job search sites and industry specific recruitment agencies.

The job search sites only had experienced or qualified positions listed so they were a waste of time. The recruitment agencies wanted me to pay a couple of hundred dollars just to submit a resume. Paying hundreds of dollars to submit a resume to a site that had very little information about what I was getting for my money and no guarantee of getting a job just didn’t look like a good idea to me.

It was during my search for jobs in the mines that I stumbled across the oil and gas industry or jobs on an oil rig. With a renewed sense of enthusiasm I began to search for jobs on an oil rig but it didn’t take long to realise that I was going to have the same problem as when I was looking for mining jobs.

None of it made any sense to me. I had heard that they were both booming industries but if that were true, wouldn’t it be easy to find jobs in the industry?

I Finally Found A Job!

After a couple of months of searching I finally managed to get a job. It wasn’t in the mining industry which is what I was originally looking for but I was just as happy because the oil and gas industry paid the same wages and gave me six months of the year off.

When I got the job I had no experience and didn’t even know what an oil rig looked like. I didn’t even have to go and spend thousands of dollars on courses like I originally thought I would have to.

Since I began working on an oil rig I have spoken to hundreds of people who have told me that they have tried to get a job in the mines or on an oil rig. The funny part is pretty much every one of them tells me the exact same story about how it was just too hard to get in without experience so they gave up.

At first I didn’t think about it much but then I began to wonder why it was so hard to find entry level jobs. My experience now told me that the oil and gas industry is a booming industry and there is plenty of opportunity for inexperienced people so there had to be a reason why people can’t find the jobs that they are looking for.

The Answer To Your Problem

My curiosity led me to do some research and one night while searching for entry level jobs on the computer the answer finally hit me and all I could do was laugh because the answer was so simple that I couldn’t believe that I didn’t think of it earlier.
